FiBTRA promotes knowledge exchange, collaboration, and professional networking among researchers, clinicians, and other specialists working in the field of brain tumors. To achieve this, the association organizes scientific meetings, annual symposia, and educational events that bring together experts from across Finland and internationally. The association disseminates research news, opportunities, and updates through its social channels on Facebook, LinkedIn, and BlueSky.
Since its establishment in 2015, FiBTRA has organized seven traditional scientific symposia and four virtual symposia. FiBTRA also hosted a joint Multidisciplinary Neuro-Oncology Symposium in collaboration with the Scandinavian Society of Neuro-Oncology (SNOG), further strengthening international cooperation and knowledge sharing within the neuro-oncology community.
